UNDERSTANDING YOUR OPTIONS

WHAT IS TRIMIX? AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

TriMix is a compounded prescription medication containing three medicines that help increase blood flow within the penis. It is administered by a small injection into the erectile tissue and may be considered for men whose erectile dysfunction has not responded adequately to oral medications.

01

THREE MEDICATIONS

TriMix generally combines papaverine, phentolamine, and alprostadil. These medications act through different mechanisms to help relax smooth muscle and increase penile blood flow.

02

LOCAL ACTION

Unlike oral ED medications, TriMix is delivered directly into the erectile tissue. It may produce an erection even when oral medications have not been sufficiently effective.

03

INDIVIDUALIZED DOSING

Treatment requires careful patient selection, individualized dosing, and proper instruction. Your prescribing clinician determines whether this treatment is appropriate.

HOW IS TRIMIX DIFFERENT FROM VIAGRA OR CIALIS?

Oral medications such as sildenafil and tadalafil work by enhancing the body's normal erectile response. TriMix acts locally through injected medications that directly promote smooth muscle relaxation and blood flow. It is a different treatment approach that may be useful when oral medications are ineffective or unsuitable.

INDIVIDUALIZED ED TREATMENT

IS TRIMIX RIGHT FOR YOU? LET'S FIND OUT.

TriMix may be an option for certain men with erectile dysfunction, particularly when oral medications have not produced satisfactory results. Choosing the right treatment begins with an appropriate medical evaluation.

01

WHO MAY BENEFIT?

Men who have not responded adequately to medications such as sildenafil or tadalafil may benefit from discussing injection therapy. TriMix may also be considered when oral medications are unsuitable. A physician determines whether this treatment is appropriate.

02

YOUR MEDICAL EVALUATION

Your clinician reviews your medical history, current medications, erectile dysfunction symptoms, previous treatments, and relevant health conditions. The evaluation helps determine whether TriMix or another ED treatment may be appropriate.

03

TRAINING & FOLLOW-UP

If prescribed, treatment involves individualized dosing and instruction in proper injection technique, storage, and safety. An initial supervised injection assessment and appropriate follow-up help establish a safe treatment plan.

IMPORTANT TRIMIX SAFETY INFORMATION

TriMix is a prescription compounded medication administered by injection into the erectile tissue. Possible adverse effects include penile pain, bruising, bleeding, prolonged erections, and development of penile scar tissue or fibrosis.

Priapism is a potentially serious prolonged erection that can cause permanent tissue injury. Patients must receive specific instructions regarding dosing, injection frequency, precautions, and emergency management.

TriMix should not be used without individualized prescribing and appropriate medical instruction. Certain health conditions, medications, and risk factors may make injection therapy unsuitable.

IMPORTANT: An erection lasting 4 hours or longer is a medical emergency. Seek immediate care in an emergency department. Do not wait for a routine office appointment or callback.

TriMix is a compounded prescription medication and is not an FDA-approved finished drug. The FDA does not independently evaluate compounded medications for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing. Treatment suitability and outcomes vary by patient.
